Hurricane Earl Path - Hurricane Earl Projected Path. The National Hurricane Center has issued a watch for Hurricane Earl for several Caribbean Islands. The hurricane is forecasted to be gaining strength as it projected path is headed toward Leeward Islands.

The Hurricane Earl watch has been given to the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, as well as Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguill, St. Martin, St. Maaten, St. Barthelemy, Saba and St. Eustatius. There is also a hurricane watch alert issued for the British Virgin Islands. These areas are expected to have hurricane weather conditions in the next 24 hours and people in these areas need to be prepared quickly. Within the next 36 hours they should anticipate hurricane conditions.

Hurricane Earl’s path is traveling west with a change to a west-northwest projection in around the next day. The Hurricane Center projects that Hurricane Earl will pass over or near the northern Leeward Islands either Sunday night or on Monday. Leeward Islands is expected to receive around 3 to 5 inches of total rainfall with a possibility of a maximum of 8 inches of rainfall accumulation.
