Lowell Folk Festival – 2010 Lowell Folk Festival: The largest free folk festival in the United States also known as Lowell Folk Festival will kick off today. There are great performances, amazing food, creative crafts, and wonderful audiences at seven stages at the 24th Festival.
Lowell Folk Festival 2010 begins with a kick-off parade, music and ethnic foods at two performance stages: Dutton Street Dance Pavilion and Boarding House Park, both in the heart of downtown Lowell.
On Saturday, the festival opens at noon and runs into the evening. Many downtown restaurants will get into the act, with outdoor live music and other special events. On Sunday, the festival resumes at noon and ends at 6 p.m.
