Cumberland River | Cumberland River Flooding. The Cumberland River is eleven hundred and seven kilometers or six hundred and sixty eight miles long stream that flows in the Southern part of the United States of America. Cumberland River is one the three major waterways of Kentucky with the cities of Nashville and Tennessee lying on its bank.

A warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday, the twenty fifth day of April in the annum ‘10 that the if the stubborn rain water does not stop falling, the Cumberland River flooding might take place which will bring shattering consequences and this is exactly what is happening in the American State of Tennessee and Kentucky. The Cumberland River flooding occurred when the stream filled with rain water till its peak started to leak and submerged the cities of Nashville, Memphis and counties of Rutherford, Wilson and Williamson. So far due to cruel wind storm and excessive flooding, 11 deaths have been reported in Tennessee, two in the state of Kentucky and more than six in Mississippi.
