American Idol 2011 Winner: Scotty McCreery

American Idol 2011 Winner: Scotty McCreery, 17-year-old North Carolina native Scotty McCreery has won the American Idol season 10. He beating country singer Lauren Alaina, 16 in the finale tonight after more than 100 million votes were cast.
In a season that introduced rock star Steven Tyler and pop diva Jennifer Lopez as new judges, McCreery's country crooning won out, this despite less positive reviews for the North Carolina native's finale song, "Love You This Big."
