Cherry Blossom Festival 2011 Encourages Aid to Japan
Cherry Blossom Festival 2011 in Washington is Encourages people to donate to the American Red Cross for earthquake relief efforts in Japan ahead of the Cherry Blossom Festival that honors U.S.-Japanese relations.
Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration in Washington, D.C., a tradition that showcases the beautiful gift of 3,000 cherry trees that the city of Tokyo gave to Washington. The National Cherry Blossom Festival 2011 held on March 26 – April 10, 2011.
Festival spokeswoman Danielle Piacente says they are working on plans to recognize the tsunami tragedy during the National Cherry Blossom Festival 2011.
