Miss America 2011

The Miss America pageant for 2011 will take place on Saturday. Miss America 2011 will be held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on January 15, 2011. Since the first Miss America pageant was held 90 years ago, in 1921, the Miss America Organization is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2011. Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron from Virginia, will crown her successor at the end of this event. Hosts this year are Chris Harrison from The Bachelor and Brooke Burke of Dancing with the Stars.

There have already been three days of preliminary competition and there are already some front runners! So far:
Miss Nebraska won for talent (she played piano).
Miss Oklahoma got kudos for Lifestyle and Fitness aka swimsuit.
Miss Rhode Island and Miss Alabama did well as did Miss North Carolina and Miss Hawaii.

You can watch the pageant airs Saturday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
