Obama Stitches: Obama Gets 12 Stitches After Basketball Injury

President Obama received 12 stitches on his lip after receiving an elbow to the face during a morning basketball game. He received stitches from the White House doctor.

According to the reports President Obama injury after an opposing player threw an elbow to President Obama’s face. On the video Obama is seen leaving the basketball game.

The White House released this statement about President Obama’s stitches:

After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the President received 12 stitches today administered by the White House Medical Unit. They were done in the doctor’s office located on the ground floor of the White House.
