Shannon Brown Engaged to Monica - Lakers shooting guard Shannon Brown has been engaged to R&B singer Monica. Shannon Brown is a star basketball player from Michigan State. He has played in the NBA for the Charlotte Bobcats, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, and now the LA Lakers. He appeared in music videos to Toni Braxton's "Yesterday" and Monica's "Love All Over Me".

On the Monica twitter account, she showed off her new engagement ring in a picture she posted on twitter this past weekend.

Monica is currently working on her 7th studio album, which is reportedly being produced by Polow Da Don. A lead single is expected to be released sometime in the summer of 2011. Besides singing R&B, Monica has also appeared on several TV shows, such as Beverly Hills 90210, Living Single, Felicity, and American Dreams.
