The Plano Ballon Festival has been thrilling Plano residents and visitors for 31 years with a sky full of brightly colored balloons in all kinds of shapes and sizes. the Plano Balloon Festival 2010, balloons will be launched at 06:00 P.M on Friday and Sunday, while on Saturday the time to launch balloons into the air is set for 07:00 P.M.

The Plano Balloon Festival has other events and activities ongoing throughout its 3 days: the community stage will have continuous entertainment; Free "Kid's Korner" Make-and-Take Art Activities; the Plano Symphony Orchestra will be present. There will also be a rock climbing wall, obstacle course, inflatable rides for toddlers, and sand art, as well as the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride.

According to some reports, Jeffrey Jones was charged Wednesday with failing to update his registration as a sex offender in California. Jeffrey Jones was arrested on June 23 because he had refused to update state records within five days of his last birthday, which fell on Sept. 28, 2009. In 2003, Jones was arrested for possession of child pornography and employing a 14-year-old boy to pose for pornographic photographs. Jones pled no contest to the felony charges and was ordered to undergo counseling and register as a sex offender. In July 2004, he was arrested by Florida police after failing to notify them of his change of residence. He has since been sued in civil court by the minor, who is now an adult. Jones was charged on June 30, 2010, in Los Angeles, with failing to update his sex offender registration status, a felony.
