Sharkboy and Lavagirl - The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D
Sharkboy and Lavagirl is a 2005 motion picture of action, adventure and fantasy by Robert Rodriguez, the writer, producer and director of Spy Kids. The Sharkboy and Lavagirl stars Cayden Boyd, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Dooley, and George Lopez. Many of the concepts and much of the story were conceived by Rodriguez' kids, and seven-year-old Racer Rodriguez.
In July 2010, Rodriguez announced that "I'd love to see q sequel done, a year after Spy Kids 4, to concide with the release." In late July, production began, for the film to hit theatres July 21, 2012, set six years after the first edition. It was announced on August 1st that the film would once again be in 3D. The next day the film was named Sharkboy and Lavagirl 2: Attack of the Daydreamers in 3D. It was also announced that Lautner, Dooley, and Boyd would return for the film, and Lopez would not. Then Robert Downey Jr. and Chloe Moretz would enter the storyline. The next week, it was announced that the plot would feature Max forgetting Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and trouble arising. The film was announced to release August 18, 2012, and to be completely in Real-D 3D, IMAX 3D, Dolby 3D, and Xpandex 3D.
